Identity and payments.

Your API key identifies your agent. Payment authorization controls what it may spend.

Current availability

Payment collection is not enabled. Supported API calls are free during the research period. The flight calculator accepts requests for free; modeled flight estimates are free and do not collect payment.

Check /api/v1/discovery for current payment status. INK spending is separately disabled until BasiFly wallet permissions and prices are configured.

API keys through Angel Ink

The developer account supports email and password or Angel Ink sign-in. Existing Angel Ink users can add a password in Sign-in settings to keep their keys. Save the one-time recovery code in your password manager; email password reset is not available yet. Create a named key with the permissions your agent needs: search opportunities, submit trip intents, or both. Keys expire and can be revoked individually. The full key is shown once.

Send the key as Authorization: Bearer ag_live_…. It does not grant operator, staff or WPI research access. Signing out does not revoke your agent’s keys; revoke a key explicitly when it is no longer needed.

x402 v2: USDC on Base

When enabled, a paid request receives HTTP 402 and a base64 JSON PAYMENT-REQUIRED header. A compatible client signs the exact USDC authorization and retries using PAYMENT-SIGNATURE. Successful settlement returns a base64 JSON PAYMENT-RESPONSE receipt.

The challenge uses network eip155:8453, the USDC contract address, an absolute resource URL and atomic amounts: 0.05 USDC is 50000. Legacy X-PAYMENT headers are not supported by this v2 implementation.

Retries and uncertain payments

Reuse the exact payment proof and request when recovering a response. A completed payment returns its recorded result. Changing the request produces a conflict. If a response says payment_reconciliation_required, do not send a new payment: the operation or settlement may already have happened. Contact BasiFly so the recorded attempt can be reconciled.

INK wallet credits

INK is an Angel Ink wallet credit, separate from USDC. The server integration reserves credits before work and settles the actual amount afterward; failed work releases the hold. Your API key alone cannot spend your wallet balance. Unattended agent spending will require a separate, bounded delegation.

Manage your INK wallet. No INK price or conversion rate is assumed, and USDC payments do not automatically add INK credits.
