Part 135 disclosure.
Explicit statement of what BasiFly is and is not under FAA regulations.
BasiFly is not an air carrier
BasiFly is a demand-coordination platform. We do not hold an FAA Air Carrier Certificate. We do not operate aircraft. We do not employ pilots. We do not exercise operational control over any flight.
Every flight is Part 135
Every flight BasiFly coordinates is operated by an FAA-certified Part 135 air carrier. That carrier holds operational control. That carrier's name, certificate, and contract govern the flight.
We do not operate Part 380 public charters
BasiFly does not aggregate strangers onto a single aircraft. The “compatible group routing” option on our trip-request form refers to routing-efficiency alignment between two separate single-charterer Part 135 flights, not to seat-sharing on a single flight. We do not market scheduled or semi-scheduled flights. We do not act as a Part 380 public-charter operator.
